Honestly, it started out fun. A week off! Awesome! Then a week became two, then three, then a month, two months, and now, a year. I spent my 21st birthday in lockdown. Ny younger brother’s 19th birthday? Lockdown. Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving? All under lockdown. This has been attack on my psyche. My life has come to a standstill. If it wasn’t for my girlfriend and immediate family, I may have gone out of my mind. To me, worse than the pandemic itself, is the politics of it. It has divided the country more- which I did not know could even happen. The severe polarization has deep deep roots. I have family members who won’t even speak to me. This has been a nightmare. I just want my life back.
